Fallen Crest High was very strange at first. This book is a bout a girl that lives with her father and soon to be step mother and two step brothers. The girl is not very fascinated about the whole idea. The two step brothers are the cool rich kids in school. And she is a very quiet kid in school. Her step brothers and her are not very fond of one another. Until all there parents start to do is shut out the three of them. And they really get to know one another. Then there bond cannot be broken. Very good book.

The drama in the story is high, but there were so many parts of the stories that could've been improved. In the whole series, Samantha's mother's personality seemed inconsistent with the first book. Plus, a lot of the secondary characters were briefly mentioned in passing. Had she considered focusing on Samantha and her first stepdad's relationship in contrast with Samantha and her soon to be stepdad, it would be worth reading. If you're looking for another YA Romance with a happy ending, this series is for you. But if you're looking for a story with depth and strength of characters, then there are better series to look into.

I LOVE the Fallen Crest High books by Tijan! The way Samantha and her relationship with the Kade brothers, Mason and Logan, develops is an unique, emotional ride. The books pulled me in and I soon realized that I had finished the entire series. The scenes are developed, descriptive, and paints an emotional picture for the reader. There are some over the top scenes and events that occur in the book, but I read to enjoy a fantasy world, so I do not mind the "crazy" things that they go through.

I've read many books, but this is the first one I've actually written a review for...
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Fallen Crest Series!

Like I said this is the first book that I've written a review for, so I apologize if It's unhelpful..

I liked that Samantha's character was strong. It's obvious that she's been through some crazy stuff in her life due to the small hint here and there from time to time. With most female leads, they would play the victim and cry and cry about how they've had a terrible life and have pity parties the entire time. But with Samantha it was the complete opposite. She found a way to cope. She built walls, maybe a few too many? She built too many walls and it caused her to be blind to a few things that was going on around her. She wasn't naïve, she was just numb, she didn't care enough to pay attention to a few important details.

Now about Samantha's relationship with Mason and Logan. I love how it progressed throughout the entire book. With most books like this, everyone will throw insults around back and forth like playful banter and then before you know it they'll be having sex. With this book it was AGAIN the complete opposite. Yes, of course the relationship was rocky in the beginning, but in a different way. They all just observed each other from afar, until enough respect was given to approach each other.

Another great thing about the book is that it's not just about romance and sex. It's about becoming a family, respect and learning to trust before anything. The romance between Sam and Mason is Oo La La though. And It progresses beautifully throughout the series. BTW THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE HESITANT ABOUT READING THIS BOOK BECAUSE OF A POSSIBLE LOVE TRIANGLE.. Don't be, just read it!!! :D

Anyways, this story is a little dark and edgy, but not in a twisted messed up sort of way. It's a great series! AND I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL The others come out.
