The Luxe is a novel about 2 sisters in the late 19th century who are a shimmering part of Manhattan's elite society group. Their mother is a widow and is trying to marry them to wealthy men so they will be well taken care of. The youngest sister however, is very rebellious and both sisters decide to make their own life decisions and decide for themselves if love or money is worth marrying for.
