What do a teenage girl and two wolf dogs have in common? How about a hyena dog and a copper cyborg? They all happen to be players and characters in a real-life video game. When technology becomes too powerful, it isn’t possible to completely control it. In fact, it has the potential to take over. In The Legend of the Copper Cyborg by L. Hawk and J. Hawk we meet Kelsi, a normal pre-teen who likes to spend her free time playing video games. One cold, wintery day she gets transported into a living video game. From that day forward, she spends all her time with her teammates getting ready for the next challenge. Will she and her team succeed in winning it all and reaching their final goal? Or will something, or someone, stand in their way?

I enjoyed many things about the book The Legend of the Copper Cyborg by L. Hawk and J. Hawk. Firstly, I think the authors did a fantastic job making the book exciting and hard to put down. Secondly, it has diverse characters and interesting villages. Lastly, the characters are well-developed, and their emotions and interactions are very realistic.

As wonderfully interesting as the book is, there is one thing that I did not like. There are many errors in the book, such as punctuation, wrong words and verb tenses, spelling mistakes, wrong pronouns, and missing words. For example, the author uses effected instead of affected in the first chapter. The mistakes didn’t make the book impossible to read, but they did cause some confusion.

Unfortunately, I must rate The Legend of the Copper Cyborg 4 out of 5 stars. If there hadn’t been so many grammatical errors, I would have given it 5 stars. I look forward to the next book.

I recommend this book to all ages. There isn’t anything inappropriate in it and it is a delightful book to read.

A girl who loves gaming being inside the game? I wonder how Kelsi would feel about that. If I were her, I'd be ecstatic, if the challenges aren't too dangerous or difficult. Was she the only human that got transported into the video game, or did her teammates face the same dilemma? I'll find out for myself.
