Review of Wish Star World: Freak Show
This book follows a family of four, which consists of Rick and Barbara and their two kids, Clarence and Phoebe. This set of twins are amazing, which is why I love them. The author takes the readers along on the adventures of these two kids. Read Wish Star World: Freak Show by L.A. Burnett to find out more.
Phoebe and Clarence found out their grandparents were in possession of a magic coin after they met with a seer who made it known to them that they were both born from magic. At first, they didn't believe it, and they thought it was a kind of guess. Their parents hadn't mentioned anything about their grannies to them before, which made them more curious because they didn't get the chance to meet them before they vanished all of a sudden. They set out on a mission to find more details, which stretched to their dismissal.
I love how Rick and Barbara always treat their kids. They give them the knowledge they need and educate them on certain things. This book made me understand that we don’t necessarily need to be harsh to our kids before they heed correction. Instead, we sit them down, talk to them, and make them understand certain things. Also, this story moves swiftly, and the author uses easy-to-understand words, which makes the storyline easy to follow.
What I don’t like about this book are the unnecessary details the author included in it. At some point I got bored, and I feel like the author only added it to fill the spaces, which makes the book lengthy and unnecessary. And some characters didn’t really play enough roles like they should have. Apart from this, I don’t have anything else to dislike, and I’ll rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. I only saw a few errors while reading. This book is professionally edited.
I'll recommend this book to young adults who love exciting and easy-to-read novels. Also, I would suggest this book to teenagers who love to read about novels that contain magical words and creatures. You'll love this one.

It's always enjoyable when a story meets our hopes and interests.Okocha Victor wrote: ↑29 Jun 2023, 16:40 I quickly thought of Phoebe from Thunderman when I saw her name in your review and I secretly hoped the book would be about magic, and it didn't disappoint.
