Hate List by Jennifer Brown

Ooph! Talk about a lot of drama. This book was a doozy to read but it was great nonetheless. I knew just by reading the back summary that it was going to deal with some very heavy and serious topics but wow, it was so much more than that. Okay so, without spoiling, it follows a girl named Valerie as she faces the aftermath of a school shooting committed by her boyfriend Nick. Everyone hates/blame her for what happened because she helped compile the list of victims (what she calls the 'hate list'). It did a great job of depicting the effects of such a tragedy and it teaches some very powerful lessons. Like the importance of just shutting up and listening to someone before biting their head off, and how when it comes to bullying nobody ever wins so you're better off just not bullying people. I recommend it but with caution because it is about a sensitive subject and it might be triggering for some.
8/10 will probably read again.

This book was definitely great and one to read again

This was such an amazing read with such a strong message. I highly recommend this book as well.
