This sounds like it's just up my alley. I'm very passionate about feminism and stories that take place with feminist contexts. Plus, I loved Scout so if the main protagonist is reminiscent of her, then sign me up!

Wonderful review! I believe it is important for individuals to explore and reflect on life as it was at a different time. There seems to be a discourse with the upcoming generation recognizing the leaps and bounds that society has taken regarding equality.

Why do I feel that the name doesn't suit the book? I don't think that I would ever try it. Nice review though!

This definitely sounds like my kind of book! I love historic fiction that discusses social progress and how hard change is! Thanks for the review!

Now I am not a feminist. I don't know why but it just doesn't appeal to me. I see no problem in having different roles for men and women. However a character similar to Scout makes me want to read the book.
But the path I’ve chosen has always been the right one, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. :)

A really Beautiful review. I had read To Kill A Mockingbird and the protagonist resembles Scott a lot!! I would love to read this book. I'm gonna recommend this book to my sister.

I saw the title and was immediately curious about the book. I don't know that it's something I'd be personally interested in, but I'm glad that such an intriguing title was put to good use!

This feels like an interesting read. I'm curious to find out how such a sad theme of gender inequality could be sweet and funny at the same time. Thank you for the review!
It was so gorgeous it almost felt like sadness. The Lake, Banana Yoshimoto
