There are too few YA books that tackle real-world problems that teens face in a realistic way that they can relate to...and possibly learn from. The book sounds "deep" for a YA novel as many are mostly fluff. I'm hoping this one gets good PR and finds it's way into the hands of many in the age range it's targeted for. Great review!

I agree with most part of the review except the fact that the narration should be from Spike because, Joey is the perfect character to display the insecurities of a teenager. Also, the fears of adaptation to a new place every time could be connected with Joey. No doubt, Spike is a strong character but the narration seems perfect.
Would like to add that the author uses words to picturise every street, corner, rather every scene beautifully. And the jumps in different time zones and real and dream world are also subtle without disturbing the flow of reading. And lastly would like to congratulate the author for touching real life teenage issues with perfect characters.

Thos book sounds fascinating and well placed in today's world. In believe our youth need a strong character to believe in that doesn't apologize for who they are. I think that sex can be a difficult topic for some, however whether, as adults, we like it or not..it happens, and we don't get to choose their experiences for them. Thank you for your review!

Wow! This book entails every aspect of a teenager's life because there's so much that goes on in the life of a teenager and this book cuts deep across all aspects and also goes far in reaching out to all not just the teenager now but everyone. It is a time-worthy book, beautiful descriptions and the characters;well selected.

Goodbye, Rudy Kazoody, based on the review, sounds like a realistic YA book. Two young teenagers dealing with violence, religion, sex, abuse, and bullying could help today's teenagers. Thanks for the great review!

Though most of us have passed the teenage, still it is interesting to look back and think about that period in which we did silly things, mostly. This book will be an interesting read to most of the adults and will be useful for much old teenagers. Congratulations on being BOTD

Teenagers stand to learn a lot from Spike and Joey's story. I'm not too comfortable about the book's sexual content though.

Sounds like an interesting story. And I adore how the author accommodated a variety of tongue and culture. Unfortunately, Young Adult genre aren't my favorite and the graphic scenes contained in the book stops me from reading the book. Thank you for your honest review.

I like the idea of someone else talking about the complicated main character. Joey and Spike should be great, relatable characters.

This book seems to not only narrate a story but also provide a fresh and authentic point of view to a teenager's life. I am quite intrigued because of the review. Thanks!

What an exciting review fill with a detail of the characters and what the reviewer thought to be the best narrator, Spike. Spike is a lovable person as you can see from this reviewer and how he speaks about him befriending the other characters as well as being friendly with the moms and sisters. Sex is a topic that is not talked about openly, and this reviewer tells it like it is that sex is what teenagers do think about and do. I like the review and is interested in reading the book.

I like how the book has developed even the characters that can easily be left in the background. this is definitely a good YA. However, I guess I will pass on this one am not a fan of the heavy violent scenes. Thanks for your great review.
