It sounds like a great book. A book that will make you pause and really take time to understand what's happening. It reminds me of the movie tag. Similarities been that this game unites kids and brings out joy and laughter. Great review.
But the path I’ve chosen has always been the right one, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. :)

Reading a book based on children games won't be a bad idea. You introductory paragraph caught me. Great review

I'm really interested in this book. I like when the more deeper content lies in the sub-text, and is not merely written as a sentence or two. And storytelling in a form of conversation between an old man and a young girl is fascinating. Thank you for the review!
It was so gorgeous it almost felt like sadness. The Lake, Banana Yoshimoto

The ending of a book is so important. That's too bad something was missing at the conclusion. The lack of consequences for certain things can also be frustrating. I'm glad you were still able to enjoy this book. Thank you for an honest review.
