Trials of Apollo: The Dark Prophesy

Post by story3girl »

In The Dark Prophesy, the latest Trials of Apollo book by Rick Riordan, Leo and Calypso (from the Heroes of Olympus books) accompany the mortal Apollo to a way station in the mid West. There he meets two women who left his sister's huntresses and accepted mortality in order to be together. He must have another reanimated Roman emporer and free another of his oracles and this time a young demigod girl's life hangs in the balance.

The Dark Prophesy has all the charm and humor of Riordan's earlier series. Apollo's voice as he both mocks and learns to respect mortality is charming and delightful. And reading about Leo and Calypso again was like hugging old friends. I'll be over here tapping my foot and waiting impatiently for the next book.
