Jason and Eddie are caught up in a world that is now overrun by automation and plagued by unending protests. The main turmoil began when Mia fell seriously ill, thus shifting their parents' focus and leaving Cody, their troubled younger brother, to spiral into rebellion. Jason is burdened by the weight of their changing lives and Cody’s deteriorating behavior. Despite her illness, Mia kept the dream of returning alive, and this filled their hearts with hope. As they face these challenges and an uncertain future, Jason and Eddie cling to cherished memories and the dream of Hazel Park. Amidst this chaos and Cody’s reckless behavior, can they overcome their struggles and return to their lost paradise? Will their dream of Hazel Park ever become a reality again?

This book really captures the heart with its deeply personal storytelling and vivid writing. You feel like you’re right there with Jason and Eddie, experiencing their ups and downs firsthand. The author’s portrayal of Cody’s struggle and Jason’s commitment to his family is incredibly moving. One standout moment is their nostalgic look back at Hazel Park, which contrasts sharply with their challenging present. The writing brings this special place to life, making it feel like a cherished memory you can almost touch. The way the book intertwines these personal stories with larger social issues is both engaging and thought-provoking. It’s a beautifully crafted story that will leave you feeling both emotionally touched and eager to see where their journey leads next.

While reading this book, I came across errors; however, the editing was professional. There is nothing to dislike, as there is no boring moment while reading it. It is engaging from beginning to end because of the gripping plot and vivid storytelling. I rate Woodland Family Portrait by Art Lionson 5 out of 5 stars because it was interesting. I recommend it to readers looking for an interesting drama novel. It is important to point out that this book contains some violent scenes that may not be suitable for some readers.
