David’s True Goliaths by Stanley Zantarski is a non-fiction book meant to inspire and help people develop a stronger faith. Included are relatable quotes and psalms, along with gospels, wisdom, and opinions from the author. I rate this book a 4 out of 5.

The vocabulary in this book is quite advanced, which I both liked and disliked. While it made me feel respect for the writer and their extensive vocabulary, it can also be confusing and frustrating trying to read a book full of words you don’t understand; I don’t want to have to look up every other word in a book. There were a few instances where I noticed the author put the description of the word in brackets, which I greatly appreciated. However, because of the advanced vocabulary, I wouldn’t exactly say this is child- or teenager-friendly. For these reasons, I deducted a star from my rating.

I certainly learned a lot from reading this book. I don’t consider myself a religious person, but it’s hard not to feel inspired by many of these stories and Psalms. My favorite was Noah and his Arc, which is a well-known story. Noah’s patience and faith were inspiring, and because of those qualities, everything worked out for him. His longanimity was admirable and made me evaluate my own patience and perseverance; I want to trust in myself and faith more! I also really enjoyed the stories about Joab and David’s sons; what a rollercoaster that was! I’ve never read the Bible or any of the Testaments, but it seems significantly less overwhelming now that I’ve read this book and gained a basic understanding of what it means to have faith.

Overall, David’s True Goliaths by Stanley Zantarski was an interesting read written to help readers build a stronger connection in their faith. I would recommend this book to any adult looking for spiritual guidance or inspiration.

This non-fiction by author Stanley is aimed at inspiring and helping people develop a stronger faith. The book features relatable quotes, psalms, gospels, wisdom, and opinions from the author. The advanced vocabulary can be confusing, and surely too much for the younger audience to grasp is noted. The book sounds like a good read for adults seeking spiritual guidance. Comprehensive review, thanks!
