Dragon Scroll of Nepthali is a scintillating fantasy novel penned by B.L. Madole.

The story is set in the fictional land of Nepthali. Long ago, Nepthali was ruled by the mighty dragon brothers, Orpheus and Natas. After the deadly Goblin War, envy began to seep into the brothers’ bond. One thing led to another, and the dragons soon left the land. Natas' legacy was his troop of notorious Bara soldiers who continued to torment the good people of Nepthali. Orpheus, on the other hand, left a scroll that prophesized the dragons’ return. Years passed. Most people soon forgot about the dragons. Mitzy, the youngest of Amalek's and Meridia's children, never lost her hope and belief in Orpheus. Mitzy's ancestor had a mysterious encounter with Orpheus before he left. A tragedy compelled Meridia and Mitzy to move to the royal palace. Mitzty formed an unlikely friendship with the youngest Prince Roffius. As she grew up, conspiracies abounded in the palace. Then came the prophesized time. War broke out.

Who would win the war between good and evil? Would Orpheus return to fulfill his promise? What was his connection to Mitzy? Most importantly, will Mitzy's hope and belief in the dragon scroll prevail?

Dragon Scroll of Nepthali by B.L. Madole is a perfect package filled with action, romance, and suspense. It had me hooked till the very end. Madole is successful in enmeshing us into the lives of the characters. Mitzy is a brave and idealistic young woman. Her hope inspires us to always hope for the best. Roffius is a valiant young man who would do anything for his loved ones. His shaky belief is realistic. Ithamar, Uriah, Aykin, Obed, Eliab, Jesorath, Shem, Stephano, Julean, Meridia, Cora, and Cook, among others, all made a special place in my heart. Though Jeru, Ashter, and Amalek did not have a large role to play, they left their impact. Narok, Mezrah, Lott, and Cain are well-developed characters as well.

Just like the characterization, the pacing of the novel is perfect. Madole masterfully built the world of Nepthali. We easily become familiarized with its history, people, and culture. I love the slow-burn romance of Mitzy and Roffius. The action scenes are exhilarating. The fights between the dragon brothers took my breath away. The final battle scene had me at the edge of my seat.

Hope is the central theme of B.L. Madole's Dragon Scroll of Nepthali. I happily rate it 5 out of 5 stars. There is nothing that I didn't like about this book. Hence, it deserves a perfect rating. I highly recommend Dragon Scroll of Nepthali to all fantasy fans.

An epic tale with dragons, sounds good! There are so many characters and they all have unfamiliar names. My worry is that one could get confused on who's who.
