Introduction
When we grip the coming-of-age book "Finally Thirteen," we feel the mixture of anticipation, trepidation, and self-discovery that accompanies early puberty. We follow Tabitha (Tab) Tyler, Skyler (Sky) McCray, and Calista (Cali) Snipe, who are not so far removed from us, as they start junior high and encounter unforeseen risks in addition to new social and scholastic obstacles.

Themes and plots
Cali confronts both the excitement and the worries of the first year of junior high. She and her friends undergo a lot of the typical changes that junior high kids go through—trying to figure out who they are and what they want—in a setting that soon proves to be way more dangerous than any of them (or their us reading the book) could have imagined. They almost get caught up in a drug deal. They threaten a kid with the cops to get him to tell the truth (God only knows what would have happened if the kid actually had to tell the truth). And they almost get caught in an abduction. All of this happens while Cali is also trying to navigate her new life and trying to make sense of the self-image issues that so many teenagers (especially girls) deal with.

Pros:
Very relatable: The feelings and experiences of the characters are easy for young readers to connect with.

Your Interest: A combustible mix of suspense and school drama keeps the reader involved.

Powerful theme:- Discussions of friendship, self-confidence, and overcoming hurdles fill the pages.

Simple yet Effective Writing: Teenagers and teachers will find it easy to read.

Cons:

Certain Predictable Elements: Some school confrontations have predictable, recurring features.

Narrow Adult Perspective: The focus is mostly on teens, with minimal intel on parental supervision or influence.

Final verdict: Young teens are encouraged to read "Finally Thirteen" because it offers an intriguing and true-to-life glimpse into the universe of puberty. Besides being captivating, this book offers some vital life lessons about accepting oneself, making decisions, and hanging in there when the going gets tough. If you like coming-of-age books that mix adventure and school life, this one is a must-read!

I suggest this book to the teachers, parents and middle school students.
