I found the first book to be very good. It was my favorite out of the rest of the series. I read this series as a teenager. Lately, I have been considering reading the series again, or at least the first one. The faction system is very interesting. Their society is so dominating and afraid of change that they are willing to go to such harsh lengths to make sure there is order in their society. I couldn't imagine my life being threatened just because I possessed more than one good quality.

I give divergent 3 stars. The concept was there but I feel it could have been brought out even better.

The complete saga seemed excellent to me, the descriptions of the environments, the characters, the growth of the characters, everything. Everything was to my liking. Except for the ending, it certainly could have had a better ending, in my opinion.

I think it started off with a strong concept but went downhill soon which is unfortunate.

I love the series both in books and movies. Veronica Roth showed the version of humans if they solely base themselves on one personality. We each are capable to everything and should stop limiting ourselves to one trait of ours.

I would vote all the stars if I hadn't been so exceedingly disappointed with the last book in the series.

I loved the characters, the plot, and story. Of course, I found the book better than the movie. As far as dystopian novels, so far I like this one the best from the ones that I've read.

Divergent is a pretty good book. I couldn't put it down for the 1st half but lost interest after that. I finished the trilogy but I don't particularly like Tris. However, I thought it was a decent plotline which gave a somewhat plausible outcome of the future.
