I think that Divergent and Insurgent shared a similar tone, even as the series got a bit more mature and darker as it progressed, but Allegiant's tone just felt off. I didn't connect with that book from the very beginning even though I was so excited to read it.

I actually think that Four's novella was so much better than expected. It made us understand Four so much better.

Ok so the series was fabulous, my fav will be the first book. The way the storyline set and played out for the series was amazingly done. I loved four point of view also.

I started reading the series when my kids got the books. I really enjoyed the first two but it started getting tiresome by the third book.

I have only read Divergent due to the fact that my daughter actually told me how the last book ended. So I kinda lost the urge to read the other books. I am a happily ever after person. I did however enjoy Divergent, it was an easy read.
