What do you think? The movie is meant to be very good but so is the book. Opinions needed!!!

I like both, but usually prefer the books to movies. The books have so much more background and details.

I prefer the book than the movie. Maybe because I was expecting too high every time I read a book, then there will be a movie. And it so happen that I like this book.

I like the book better. The movie leaves out too many important details.

I liked the book better because not only did they leave out important details, but the actors don't match the characters the way you picture them in your head.

Definitely book, you see the deeper desires of the characters and get a better picture of them. I also preferred what I imagined everything to look like in my head, rather than what the movie showed it as.

I deffinitly like both. I like to read the book after watching the movie. It's like getting bonus material because movies leave so much out.

OF COURSE BOOK. But the movie is nice tho. you better read and watch then compare it by yourself.

I loved both of them but if I had to choose obviously I would choose book. With the movie, too many details are left out and some are quite important

Movie is good but it cann't substitute a good book.A book provides a better connect with the characters of a story. There is nothing better than to sink in your bed with a book of your choice.

Books like this and the Hunger games to me just have way too much intricate details described its hard for the movie to capture them all. I think I'd like the book better. If the movie was going to be similar enough to the book for me to appreciate them capturing all the aspects then the movie would end up being five hours long or in multiple parts so I can only see half each year (Hunger Games, Hobbit) and that is disappointing.

I gotta go with the book, theres always something in the movies they leave out.

I prefer the book simply because I feel the film is a little too idealized. The book version of Tris is much more complex and engaging that the film portrayal, as we can't see inside her head and know all the conflict that is happening within. I also think Four is far too basic a character in the films (he's not a lot more complex in the books, but at least there is a substance of character there!).

Book! The movie was good though I did not like the was Tris was portrayed in the movie as well. She seemed more tough and complex in the book.

I've only watched the first movie but it was missing some of the drama of the books and some of the detail. It's a good watch but doesn't have the same depth of emotion and world as the books.
