A simple story with life-changing advice. The books helps you realize that you got what it takes to be successful. It is inside you, do not go looking elsewhere for it.

One of my favourite books of all time. I loved the insightful conversations and beautiful style the story was written in. Definitely one of Paulo Coelho's finest.

The simplistic nature of the book makes it credible. It has made success looks like an easy thing to get. But the book did not match up to all the hype sorounding it.

I remember feeling very inspired and heightened when I read the book, but in retrospect I won't say it offers anything substantial enough to be defined as lifechanging. Sometimes, we all need a new perspective, inspiration and a feeling of awe, even if short-lived - this is a great book for that purpose, and for that I appreciated it. I'd give it a 3 out of 4 stars.

:D :) :( :o

It was a good read. A book about trying despite the odds against you. It is a book that inspires the reader to continue following their dreams while not neglecting the present happenings.

For me, the alchemist an inspiring book. I read it twice just to understand why some people consider it an inspiring book, but I failed to find an answer. However, I think the author's writing style is good as I was interested to find out what happened to the protagonist, but I wasn't enthusiastic about it's ending.

I love this book so much. It is very inspiring. When you really want something, the universe definitely conjures it for you. I would recommend it to anyone trying to find themselves in this world. And to help people see that happiness isn't in some place, but within us.
