I am interested in this, I want to know more about Piper and all that she will accomplish. Her destiny awaits and I feel she is equipped for it all. Great review.

Life for Piper made a dramatic turn on the rough side when her mother passed away from the battle of breast cancer. The young teen was let to take care of her smaller brother Charlie, in the home of her dad who had his own demons of alcohol to handle. She was surrounded by her support team of Esther, older neighbor, affectionately called grandma, best friend Lisa and ex-boyfriend Chris. Piper was fond of her pet cat, Jazz and was inspired by nature and music. Hanging out was never her thing unlike her friend Lisa and other peers.
"Prophase: A Present Tale" by Mitchel Street explained more on the sociable Piper who was focused on the power of change.

At a very young age, Piper took responsibility of taking care of her young ones. She is also on a mission to discover herself. Great review. I am not keen to read the book

I started reading the sample and I think I really should continue! I feel connected to Piper and what she endures growing up. This writing makes me feel like I can't wait to see what happens next! I love sci-fi so I think it can only get better! <3

Piper sounds like an interesting character. I'd like to find out how she handles the matters arising in her life. She seems to be strong rather than being depressed.

I'm glad I fall in the category of persons who would love to read this book, anyways I'm a big fan of fantasy filled books especially once involving magical powers. This book sounds like a very interesting one that would quench all my thirst for the fantasy I hope to enjoy. I look forward to reading this book.

Piper is an alluring character, one whom many young people could undoubtedly identify given her station in life regardless of her special abilities. Given the fact that she has these gifts she further epitomizes the notion that everyone has something special about themselves. This would be the ideal novel for teenage youth as it gives them an archetype to recognize that is going through similar life circumstances. For instance, breaking up with a loved one, transitioning from high school to college and confronting adult adversity are some of the experiences that youth experience during the chaotic adolescent years.

This seems like an interesting fantasy novel but it's not what I'm really interested in at the moment. I'd pass on this one.

A coming-of-age book with magic sounds promising. But I hestitate if it doesn't have good world building as indicated in your review. Seems like others have enjoyed it though.

Ooh. I haven't read a book like this in years but I suddenly want to. Birthdays on vernal equinoxes? Auras? Lights? Neighbours who know too much and a mysterious destiny? This sounds like it'd be a lot of fun to try reading. Additionally, it also sounds a little superhero-y, which makes it all the more something I'd like to add to my reading list.

From a sampling, it seems to be an interesting fantasy coming of age story. The character, Piper, appears to be well developed and this story deserves a second look. Well done.

Although I enjoyed reading the review, which is very well written, I'm not sure I would actually enjoy reading the book. Judging from the review, it just doesn't seem like my type of book, for I don't easily relate to coming-of-age fantasy tales. Additionally, the reviewer's criticism put me off. But I'm sure it might please readers who appreciate this type of story.

I have to say I was sucked in during the second chapter. I agree though, more detail and development would make it even better. Spot on review!
