In this book Piper seems to be coming to grips with things that is rocking her world, but she is refusing to except the truth. Piper sounds like such a wonder person and losing her mother at an early must have weighed heavily on her later on. Even though an alcoholic father must have had some kind of impact on her life. Street puts it in perspective when he talks about a neighbor could tell piper the truth about her existence, but is cautious due to Piper is not ready to hear the truth. An exciting book and I would like to read it.

This sounds like it might be an interesting book. I've had my fill of coming of age stories of late though.

I'm not sure what to think about the book. It sounds interesting, but the reviewer said the characters arent properly introduced and not explained enough. The book seems complex while lacking. Iffy and on the maybe list.

Read the sample and enjoyed it very much. Like you stated, it would be even better to have a more developed story if new beings are introduced and the readers have no idea about those. Otherwise it looks interesting and I'm sure fantasy genre lovers will appreciate this book very much. All the same, I'll definitely read it and thanks for the thorough review.

I love fantasy! I will grab YA fantasy if I want a quick read. This sounds like a fun one. I'm interested to find out what types of powers Piper develops, and why. I am also interested as to why the author chose to title her book with the first stage of mitosis.

This will be a very interesting novel. I will love to read about the new powers that piper posses and how she will use them. I also appreciated the fact that the author took out his time to create an easy to visualize imaginative world throughout the book. Great review.

Piper's birth was very mysterious at the beginning of the book. I guess some of her mysteriousness unfolds as she turns 18 and the reader begins to see some of her "overwhelming" powers.

Great review. When I read the sample, I was hooked. Too bad about the lack of details in some parts that you talked about. I can't wait to finish it. Thanks for the review!

Sounds interesting! I'm definitely more intrigued now that I have read your review. I'm curious to see how the story develops. I liked the sample but am a little disappointed knowing the characters could use more development. Still, I plan on finishing the story. Thank you for your thoughts!

Thank you for the review. I do not usually read many coming-of-age novels, and the fantasy tone in this one does not look like what I'm looking for either, so I am afraid this will be a pass for me.

It's really an issue in books, especially in fantasy fiction adventures, that the plot is just too stretched out for the sake of being longer as a novel. However, I like the world the author has created. Based on your review, Piper seems to be a lovable and interesting character. :tiphat:

A fantasy tale with plenty of different beings and magic sounds like a great read for those who enjoy this genre. Congrats to the author on BOTD.
