Thank you S dot Lennon for your review. Pity about the lack of character development, but glad its at least a compelling story with a strong main character. I believe you are right. With a little work the author could have a tolerably successful series on his hands.

Prophase: A Present Tale seems like a fascinating coming of age fantasy adventure story. The premise has undeniably piqued my interest and I am curious to know how the story plays out for Piper. Great review.

I feel that the book should come with a trigger warning for those who have a phobia of birth scenes - there is one straight off the bat as soon as you get into chapter one, which is not a nice surprise for some.
Though I'm very intrigued to see the journey of Piper.

Piper sounds like a very intriguing character. She somehow saved herself and her friends from a car collision in which all of them would have been dead. But how did she do it? Why does she suddenly have all these powers? Congratulations on BOTD!

It is really funny how an accident led to another encounter altogether. I must commend Piper's strength and bravery in taking care of her only brother.

Reading a book that lacks proper character development is like looking at an incomplete painting. Thank you for honestly pointing this out. I will let this one pass. Thanks for the great review.
