Mommy, Why Do I Have a Cold? Is an informative children’s book written by Avalon Soulette Brown. This book is about a girl who catches a cold and has to miss school.

Soulette wakes up one morning having a bad cold and has to stay in bed. Her grandmother, who is a nurse, explains to Soulette the different reasons someone can get a cold. She also tells Soulette how she could have avoided catching the infection. She then asks Soulette to rest and eat nutritious food that will help her recover from the cold.

This book is a great way to teach children how they can stay away from infections by taking simple precautions. Children get upset when they have to be in bed and cannot play. The book encourages children to wash their hands to keep away germs that spread diseases. The song of the three blind mice is a great way to make children wash their hands properly. The book also tells children how they can stop spreading germs by covering their mouth and nose while coughing or sneezing. These simple tips can help children take care of themselves and stay healthy.

There is nothing that I dislike about this book. This book will give young minds all the information they need to know about taking care of themselves and avoiding being ill. Children have to stay away from school and miss their classes and friends if they are unwell. This book will teach children about hygiene and help them to avoid getting sick.

This book is well-written and professionally edited. The illustrations in the book are colorful, real-life, and complement the story. I give this book 4 out of 4 stars and recommend it to children of ages 6-10 years. The book can also be read aloud to younger children that will help them keep healthy. This book is perfect for an interactive read-aloud session at the school or the library.

Nice job on the review. I liked that the author tries to pass educative information to children in the form of a story, nice work.

With COVID around, the sooner you can teach children good hygiene the better. This book would be a great tool for teaching them. Thank you for your review.
