Sticky Icky Vicky is a children's book written by Alysia & Michael Ssentamu. Noor Alshalabi illustrated it. Vicky is an extrovert girl. She enjoys having a playful time with her friends, Rhea and Betty. After the incident at the beach, at the age of three, she developed a fear for water. This incident has developed fear in her. This negative voice which she calls "Negative Ned," keeps haunting her. Soon after, she was presented with an opportunity to overcome her fears and have a good time with her best friends. Would she overcome her fears and choose courage?

Children have a fear of many things in life. This could be due to particular experiences they've had in the past. What I enjoyed so much about this book was the suspense it created. The reader waits to see whether Vicky overcame her fears. This book posed a question of courage and fear. The suspense was mainly seen when Vicky stood over the beach contemplating.

The author takes us on a journey through the mind of children with the idea of the "Negative Ned" that keeps discouraging Vicky. It seems most children have this voice in them. Parents are indirectly advised to probe into the mind of their children to help them in such a situation.

Unlike some children's books, this book has so much to teach. The theme of courage was clear. The author gave some questions that would enable readers to overcome their fears. There was absolutely nothing I disliked about this book. It was well illustrated. The theme of the book is reflected in the illustration.

I found no grammar and spelling mistakes. The book was exceptionally well edited. Hence, it earns 4 out of 4 stars. The book was perfectly written. I recommend it to children facing some traumatic experiences in their pasts and want to know how to overcome them.

Alysia and Ssentamu have, through this book, brought to light the reality that certain incidents can alter our lifestyles. Vicky is a victim of this. This therefore suggests that these incidents be properly handled to correct every distortion thereof.

Adults are allowed to read children's books right? Tell me I'm not alone in this. However, I think I've found a Christmas gift for my niece. Seems like a nice children's book.

It is good to be courageous. This book teaches a lot of lessons, and we shouldn't let what we experience affect our lives so much. Thanks for your review.

I like how this book made kids understand that's it is ok to be afraid but being courageous is extremely much better. This is a beautiful book for children.

This is the kind of book I’d have loved to read as a child. I had so many fears and I didn’t know how to overcome them till I had gotten older. This is a wonderful review.
