Review of Fearfully And Wonderfully Made
Fearfully And Wonderfully Made by Kennedy Collins is a children's book filled with drawings and illustrations about different people and cultures. Some drawings cut across borders and boundaries, similarities and differences, and a whole lot of diversity there can be. We can see people in their ethnic regalia, environments, different countries, wonderful landscapes, and so much more. However, what the book underscores, as its title suggests, is "we are beautiful in the way we are."
This would be a wonderful book for children to have in my opinion. First, the beautiful illustrations are not only addictive to look at but are also an artistic marvel. It even seems every stroke of the brush has been extensively premeditated to detail the message that the illustrator intended to pass across. This will make the youngsters not only appreciate art but also have something of quality that they can pass time with.
The underlying message in the book can't be overstated enough. Only by realizing the beauty in our diversities can we begin to appreciate the similarities in our differences and, hence, appreciate ourselves and everyone else the way they are. This book will be instrumental in building acceptance in children at that early stage when they are still learning about their environment. By that, this book deserves a thumbs up. It will be a great book to gift your kids.
The pictures in the book were of quality and were expertly done. I also like the intent this book was written with. It always amazes me to come across books that have been written for a good cause like this one. Furthermore, it's a short book with illustrations that will not take so much time to read or be a bore to children. I don't see any negative issues to mention about this book. I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars. There are no reasons to deduct any stars.
This book is great for children of any age who love art. It may be good to look at by any other person, too. I also think it'll be a great way to spend time with your children or as a family. This is a book of illustrations, so there are no errors to report.
