Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer

Post by KONEKO93 »

I recommend parents get their children this series
Of all the books I read as a child and teen and have since forgotten or lost interest in, this
Is the one I still remember and keep on my shelf
and in my Heart, I keep them next to my LOTR And Harry Potter books
The protagonist ages as the series progresses
Both genders would love this series (I’m a girl)
Though I think boys would love it more?
There is the regular book versions and also a graphic novel version of this series.
Just never let your kids watch the film adaptation
It’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen and a complete
Let down, it will ruin the books for them I think.
I waited sooooo long for that film only for it to be a joke. I still can’t believe the film started with Artemis fowl surfing at the beach… if you knew Artemis fowl as a character you would be like what the actual….. I couldn’t believe that BS.
Anyway lol
Below is the plot and author

Twelve-year-old villain, Artemis Fowl, is the most ingenious criminal mastermind in history. His bold and daring plan is to hold a leprechaun to ransom.

But he's taking on more than he bargained for when he kidnaps Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon (Lower Elements Police Reconnaissance Unit). For a start, leprechaun technology is more advanced than our own.

Add to that the fact that Holly is a true heroine and that her senior officer Commander Root will stop at nothing to get her back and you've got the mother of all sieges brewing!

About the Author

Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl is the first title in the mega-selling series - it was one of the most eagerly awaited children's books ever to be published. Described as “Die Hard with fairies”, this adrenaline-packed novel marks the arrival of the Irish teacher-turned-author as a major force to be reckoned with in the popular fantasy genre.
