Magelion and Eugemon by Thomas Howlett is a children’s book all about cars and bikes. The story starts with Simone and Nic, who challenge each other to a race to determine who the better trainer is and who between them will get the bragging rights. In time, they are joined by a host of friends such as Uma, Emma, Sarina, and Mia, amongst others.

Meanwhile, they soon realize they are trapped on an island with no cellular service or hope of contact with the outside world, with bug-like parasites called Automae, which threaten their existence. How do they regroup and converge to fight against this common enemy? Do they survive? Find out in this children’s book.

The only positive attribute I can say this book possesses is that it is a book of short length that can be finished in one sitting. Apart from this, the book is plagued by numerous negative points. The sentences are not separated by punctuation marks or full stops, making them unintelligible and making little to no sense. There are several mentions of different types of cars, but these are interlaced within sentences and dialogues that disrupt the little meaning sought to be conveyed in these book’s pages.

The editing for this book was genuinely horrific. It became difficult at a point to even identify the numerous errors which were scattered throughout this book. The dialogue from the characters as well makes very little sense, and it is difficult to conceive how children may be able to understand this book.

For these host of reasons, I rate this book 1 out of 5 stars and urge the author to give it to a professional editor who will work on this book to make it readable and meaningful to the average reader. It goes without saying that in its present form, I do not recommend this children’s book to anybody.
