Grandpa, I Choose You by Danielle A. Bell is an illustrated children's book dedicated to the special relationship between children and their grandfathers. In these pages, young readers will read how the grandfather of this story is his grandchildren's first friend, how he has seen his family grow, how he has always helped his wife, and how he stays healthy and strong together with his grandchildren — and many other things.

Grandpa, I Choose You is a book I read with great pleasure, even if I am no longer a child. It reminded me of the good times I had with my grandfather, and I am sure the same thing will happen to young readers who can still spend time with him. I believe having a strong relationship with the older generation is essential for our children, and this book stresses very well the importance of having good experiences with your grandfather. I especially liked the idea of having a G-Pop box to collect significant things; I hope this will inspire many children to fill theirs.

I also liked that, at the end of the book, children have many pages to write down their thoughts and recall special events they shared with their grandfather.

I must add that the book has colorful and beautiful images that convey the happiness and fun of the characters to the readers.

Another great thing is that Grandpa, I Choose You does not have typographical errors. The book is not very long, and there are not many words, but it is always nice to find a well-edited text.

I do not think this book has any negative side. Therefore, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars because it tells a beautiful story that I am sure children will love to read. I recommend this book to all young readers who have had a great time with their grandfathers. Grandpa, I Choose You will allow them to remember the good times.

Having a grandpa is not something I've had the pleasure of experiencing my grandpa was taken too early. Reading this review made me wonder what type of relationship I would have had with my grandpa, or what type of lessons he would have taught me, or the many stories he would stories about his childhood I would have heard.
