My younger children would definitely love this book, especially because they love animals and kitty cats are their favorite for sure. I love that the book has more dialogue than most children books because that gives me more time to read to them.

I love your recommendation for this book. Sometimes siblings have a difficult time welcoming someone new to the family due to the fear of being pushed aside, whether it is because of a new baby, child, or even step-parent. I truly believe that books like these help children feel less alone and understand that it's okay to be afraid, but things may not be as bad as they imagine. Thank you for the review.

This seems like an interesting story for kids. Two supposedly siblings(cats) who have come to love each other and are scared that when a new animal comes into the family, they will lose the love that they have been showered upon.

It sounds like a great book for kids. The fact that there is more reading than pictures is a plus for me, as I also think that it would help a child to enjoy the reading and use their imagination. The new sibling joining the family is another plus as to kids this could be quite a challenge to accept. Thanks for a wonderful review.

As far as the themes are concerned, Kailey and Sammy are like two loving siblings (without the sibling rivalry!). Their concerns about the new animal are reminiscent of adopting a new child or getting a new baby brother or sister, and once Malissa arrives the kitten and bunny handle it in a relatable, ultimately sweet way.
- That's what I thought too. I will definitely read this book to my kids. Thank you for an impressionable review.

Children's books like this with a message are absolutely necessary for school curriculums. I agree this is perfect for kids who are expecting a new brother or sister, but it could also be useful for school children to read prior to a new student starting. I'd be curious to know what was the deciding factor for you to remove the star.

Sounds like a cute idea! Having a new sibling (or, in this case, Malissa) is something that could really worry or stress out a child, so putting a cute story behind it with bunnies and kittens to exemplify coping with that change is so cute and sweet.

A cute classic piece of fun and learning. Children are truly lucky to come across texts like these. A good read indeed. Congratulations to the author for BOTD. And the credit where it is due- the review is aptly buoyant. It attracts one to read this book despite the age norms.
