As a passionate reader, I had high hopes for a book that explored the sensitive subject of the afterlife. However, upon finishing it, I felt slightly let down. Although the book had good intentions, I believe it may not be entirely appropriate for children to read on their own.

Despite its flaws, this book could be a valuable resource for parents wanting to assist their children in understanding death. It provides comfort and encouragement on this challenging topic. Nonetheless, younger children who are curious about what happens after death may find the book less engaging and need a parent's help to fully comprehend the concepts presented. It's not obvious whether children in the intended age range would be able to grasp the broader ideas without additional support. In my opinion, this is a family book that should be discussed.

I appreciated the book's heartwarming and reassuring message, although the language felt slightly forced at times. Having experienced loss before, I found myself relating to many of the emotions expressed in the book.

However, the book could be enhanced by improving its phrasing and overall structure. Children have short attention spans, and the book could be more engaging for young readers if it were tailored with that in mind.

Overall, I would rate this book two ways: 3 out of 4 for "good, recommend it" and 3 out of 5 for "fair/average". The story and lessons presented in the book could be beneficial for children who need guidance or have questions about the afterlife. Nevertheless, some adjustments could be made to elevate the book's overall quality.
