If a restaurant for beagles did exist, then this book would be the perfect guide. Just like when one leaves a review for a restaurant, criticizing the food based on different aspects, is the same way the beagles, Mr. Beckham, Lucky, and Peanut, have done. This would, however, be a special one because it is actually about poop (no gross descriptions). The beagles have taken responsibility and dictated this to their butler, M. Jackson.

The Very Hungry Beagles Guide to Poop: Poops You Find on a Sniffari, or, What I Ate Before My Butler Could Stop Me is an unusually beautiful book. The beagles fancy poop, and they have reviewed all the poop they found on their sniffari. They rated the poop in terms of taste, smell, texture, and rarity, all out of 5, listed the overall rating, and later came up with the full list. You'll be amazed at which poop is best from a range of animals, including hedgehogs, cows, and even goats.

I found this book extremely entertaining. I got to learn a lot of new words, like sniffari. There are crazy expressions and amazing humor. Although one might think it is gross to read this book, I would disagree because the word choice and description are inviting and make it seem like any other daily review. The descriptions were on point and informative, making the book engaging and debatable for some.

I rate The Very Hungry Beagles Guide to Poop: Poops You Find on a Sniffari, or, What I Ate Before My Butler Could Stop Me 4 out of 5 stars. I have deducted one star due to one dislike. The font used in this book is extremely small. The fact that it's a children's book makes this worse. As an adult, I was not even able to differentiate between a comma and a full stop, and this could be improved, but I hope the font size is more visible in the hard copy version. Otherwise, the book exhibited exceptional editing, and the illustrations were also rich with color and created a cheerful environment for reading the book. It also has a proper distinction between color and pattern.

Every child, especially from the ages of 4 to 8, will love the content of this book. There are many new facts to be learned about poop and animals in general, like: What are the chocolate drops of the poop world? A recommendation I would suggest is putting the leading poop on the list at the end of the book so the young readers can try and guess which would take first place. This creates suspense and makes the story more engaging and lovely. If other beagles could read this book, they would have their poop of choice after they were done reading.
