Review of Bungler Bear and Friends
A bear, a frog, and a little bird were gathered under unusual circumstances. Each of them had a story and suffered somehow, which eventually brought them all together to be good friends. What happened to those friends before and after they met? What challenges did they meet, and how did they face them? Will they be able to continue this friendship? Pick up Bungler Bear and Friends by Michael Hogan to know all the details.
My favorite thing about this book is its rhyming theme. I like it and find it fun to read. I believe it increases the amusement of children when a rhyming story is read to them. The illustrations in the book are simple and natural. Nothing is too modern or too colorful. I liked that the book left some pages uncolored for the child to color. I see that it will create a stronger bond with the book and more knowledge of the characters. I also believe the child will be able to notice more details and get some good exploration while coloring.
I didn't hate anything about the book. It was educational, and it provided many good morals. It shows the value of friendship. It also focuses on problem-solving and encourages using your brain over your body. There is also much vocabulary to learn and more values to discover. I might have felt that sadness was taking over the book because of all that the friends went through. I feel children's books need to be more cheerful.
The book does its purpose and has many good things to offer. The editing of the book was exceptional, as I didn't come across any errors. Therefore, I rate it five out of five stars.
I recommend the book to children of an older age who would be able to understand the vocabulary and follow the rhythm of the book. I also recommend it to parents who want to share a good time with their children. I believe it can make a good bedtime story, and it can also be a good subject for educational conversations.
