Happy Valentine's Day, Curious George by N. Di Angelo (Author), Mary O'Keefe Young (Illustrator)
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with decorating, baking, card making with George and his friends. George being a curious little monkey gets into mischief with balloons, frosting, and glitter. Children love fold-out flaps, which makes this a special book; as one is included for each scene. Fun surprises and the celebration of friendship make this a lovely gift for little ones. George is invites his friends to a Valentine Day party. The second series of books, based on the edited by Margret Rey and Alan J. Shalleck. These appeared between 1984 and 1993. They are mostly out of print, though several have been re-released with new cover art.
Margret Rey passed away in 1996, the third series of books, the Curious George "New Adventures," began to appear in 1998 and continues to the present. These books are ghostwritten books remain true to the style of the original Curious George stories, "illustrated in the style of H. A. Rey" by a variety of credited and uncredited artists including Mary O'Keefe Young, Martha Weston, Anna Grossnickle Hines, Michael Jensen, and Vipah Interactive.

I am a huge fan of these books. I loved reading them as a kid, and now as an educator I love sharing them with my students. They are such simple stories with just the right amount of mischief and learning.
