Review of Candle Walk: A Bedtime Prayer to God by Karin Holsinger Sherman

Post by MrsCarroll »

When my family returned from living in the Philippines, we started attending a new church. The church we fell in love with was the Episcopal church near our home. After attending for a while, we decided to have our boys baptized. The church gave us a book for our youngest some called "Candle Walk: A Bedtime Prayer to God". We began reading this every night as a family for our prayer time. Our youngest son has the entire book almost memorized.

The book is a condensed, child friendly version of the evening compline. Not only is this book good for children, but it helps our family have a good prayer time. The pictures are inviting for children and go along well with the book. My only complaint about the book is that the pages have come out very easily. I do not allow my child to play with this book, but after reading it only a few times the pages began to fall out. However, the content of the book is amazing!
