A Rhyming Book of Creatures and their Fascinating Features! by Olga De Sousa and Rita De Sousa is a very creative book of rhymes and facts about amazing animals all around the world. The book is chock-full of interesting facts about animals that some kids have never heard of. It goes through the alphabet and has an animal with a first name that starts with each letter. If the name of the animal has another meaning in a different language, the meaning is included, as well as the language from which it comes.

There are interesting facts and a little poem about the animal. The pictures are amazing, and I love learning the facts about each animal. My daughter loves learning about new animals that she has never seen before, and this is a great way to introduce them because it is not overwhelming.

I love that there are fun activities for the kids to do after reading the book. Activities are known for helping to reinforce what kids have learned, and the ones included at the end of this book do just that. The activities also include all the different styles of learning. There are activities that ask kids to draw, write, and match. Also, the pronunciations of the animal names are included, which can be helpful for parents who are reading to their kids.

The only negative of the book is that even though the book is cute and geared toward children, the facts use scientific words. If children wanted to read the book themselves, they could have trouble with the scientific vocabulary, which can be very frustrating for a new reader.

As a teacher and parent, I would highly recommend this book to any educator and parents of children who love learning about new animals. The editing was amazing because I did not find any grammatical errors or typos when reading. I would rate this creative book a 5 out of 5 stars.

Nota: 5/5 estrelas.

This book is such a delightful mix of fun and learning! The rhymes make it engaging, the illustrations are stunning, and the animal facts are fascinating. I loved how it introduces kids to new creatures in a way that's easy to enjoy without feeling overwhelming. The interactive activities at the end are a great bonus, making learning even more exciting. Some scientific terms might be tricky for younger readers, but overall, it’s a fantastic pick for curious little minds! 😊 :D

@Korey Ann I enjoyed reading your review. It was a well-balanced and helpful review! I appreciated how you highlighted both the creative and educational aspects of the book, especially the activities that cater to different learning styles. When I do reviews of picture books or books for younger readers, I also think about the books from an educator's perspective. Thanks for sharing your perspective as both a teacher and parent!
