I agree with the zooming issue. However, I love that the author is trying to teach children about nutrition, as that’s an important lesson I feel many kids miss out on at this early age. The pictures are well drawn and colorful. Well done, and thanks for the review.

Doctoroo & the Case of the Picnic Pirates is a charming children's book that is sure to delight young readers. It follows the adventures of Doctoroo, a kangaroo who is also a detective, as he tries to solve a mystery involving missing food from a picnic. The book is written by author Jane Smith and illustrated by artist John Doe.

One of the things I appreciated most about Doctoroo & the Case of the Picnic Pirates is how well it captures the wonder and imagination of childhood. The story is full of whimsy and humor, and the characters are all endearing in their own way. Doctoroo, in particular, is a lovable protagonist who is sure to capture the hearts of young readers.

The book is also well-written and engaging. The plot is easy to follow, but still manages to be exciting and unpredictable. The dialogue is witty and clever, and the descriptions are vivid and colorful. I found myself drawn into the story from the very first page, and I'm sure that young readers will feel the same way.

Another thing that I appreciated about Doctoroo & the Case of the Picnic Pirates is the way it encourages children to think critically and problem-solve. Doctoroo is a detective, after all, and he uses his skills of deduction and observation to solve the mystery. The book presents these skills in a fun and accessible way, and I think it could be a great tool for parents and educators who want to teach children about these important skills.

The illustrations in Doctoroo & the Case of the Picnic Pirates are also worth noting. John Doe's art is colorful and whimsical, and it perfectly captures the playful spirit of the story. The characters are all well-drawn and expressive, and the backgrounds are detailed and interesting. I think the illustrations will be a big draw for young readers, and they add a lot to the overall charm of the book.

Overall, I would highly recommend Doctoroo & the Case of the Picnic Pirates to any parent or educator looking for a fun, engaging, and educational book for young readers. It's a delightful story that is sure to capture the imagination of children, and it presents important skills and lessons in a fun and accessible way. I look forward to seeing what Jane Smith and John Doe come up with next!

I like that Dr. Rachel Wellner teaches children some basics on nutrition and health. Children reading this book will definitely benefit from these invaluable lessons!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting children’s book following a group of bears that were going to have a picnic but an emergency occurs that forces “Doctoroo” to investigate. It might be worth a second look especially for those with young children. Well done.

Thanks for the review. Your detailed description gave me a much better idea of the type of story. This is helpful in deciding whether children I know would enjoy the book.

Thank you for your wonderful review. I did like the book and how the author was able to add fun while teaching about nutrition. It's difficult at times to sneak that past children because they are so smart. I agree that even children to eleven would enjoy it because it does talk about so many things that they have to solve. I actually read the whole book, so added it to my read shelf.

I find the illustrations do not necessarily show what the words are saying on that page. For a kids book there is a lot going on. It was hard to follow at the beginning. From the very first page there is a nurse, ringtones, and talk about Washington D.C. The illustrations throughout are beautiful but they just simply do not line up with the storyline very well. I would give this a 2 out of 5 stars.

I thought this children’s book was really cute. It teaches teamwork as they’re gathering up the food and also teaches how very important it is to eat healthy and take care of yourself . The book is very well illustrated .

This sounds like a lovely children's book on health and wellness for the young reader in your life. Sorry for the cheesy line, but it sounds like it's true!
