What a magical, whimsical tale of friendship between an unlikely pair of animals, a narwhal and a hummingbird! They overcame their loneliness by sharing kindness and friendship. I especially loved the gorgeous illustrations throughout the book. Thank you for a wonderful, positive, insightful book review!

This book has a beautiful meaning about having a dynamic friendship. Also this book is very educational for example I never knew that group of narwhals was called a blessing or a group of hummingbirds was called a Charm. The hummingbird & the Narwhal is a beautiful story <3.

I love how positive your review is. I like that the illustrations look like they were painted with crayons. I also like that the story can be enjoyed by adults because that's a testament to how good the writing must be. Whenever I'm stressed, I enjoy reading simple stories (stories with a happy ending and no angst) to relax me and get my mind off the situation – I think this book might be perfect for that. Thank you for the review.

This sounds like a really valuable book for children. It's a great to teach them from small the importance of kindness and friendship, as it seems in our day and age those are two morals that fades away sadly. I'm truly excited to read this as it sounds like a unique storie. Thanks for a detailed review.

"The Hummingbird & the Narwal" by Annie Higbee is a book that teaches children about friendship using animals. It encourages us to explore any chance we have. Congrats on BOTD. Great review.

This unique friendship story introduces youngsters to animals that are not frequently featured in children's literature. The insights about nature's dynamics, seasons, and life patterns weave throughout the uplifting tale and the soothing illustrations.

The illustrations in the book are commendable and of a high quality. However, since this is a children's book, I fee that the sentences are too long (sometimes the dialoguescover the whole page). Thus, it will only be suitable to the children who are already ahead in their curriculum. But you are right. It does have the lesser known species.

The review mentions the outline of the book. A hummingbird and a Narwhal have developed one of the most unusual friendships in this children's book. They were alone and had difficulty finding their purpose when they met with each other. It's an awesome story of friendship and kindness. Congratulations on BOTD.

In the quiet depths of self-reflection, we often find ourselves pondering the profound questions of purpose and identity. Just like us, the Narwhal once grappled with these existential musings, unsure of its calling and the significance of its existence. The turning point in its journey came unexpectedly, in the form of a humble hummingbird.
I believe in something greater than myself.

I agree with everything you said, Ivana. Hummingbirds and narwhals aren't often seen in children's books, so it is unique. What I loved too was the little educational parts, like the migration of each animal, the purpose of the hummingbird's long tongue, how many bpm its wings beat, etc. I also loved the pictures as you did, yes, they do look like crayon don't they? I'd also give this 5 out of 5 stars.

Thank you for such a wonderful review. I'm glad you enjoyed it so very much as I did too. While it has more words than books for younger children, children are very smart and could easily understand this and I believe adults, in addition to just me, would also enjoy it. It's a great story about their friendship and how we all share this earth. I would also highly recommend it.

The Hummingbird & The Narwhal is enchanting as earthly life can be. This is a story of finding joy, connection, and manifestation in an unlikely coupling, laced with natural law-science.
Both my boys enjoyed this book. Ages 6 and 3.They loved the art work and the story that went along with it was really cute.

Through this heartwarming story, we witness the beauty of connections formed in the most unexpected places. The hummingbird and the narwhal teach us that friendship knows no bounds and that, sometimes, the most enduring bonds arise from the unlikeliest of companionships.
