I love the illustrations and the concept of Luke and his friends each had task that their trucks could handle.

Would recommend especially for my niece cause she has such a big imagination

In "The Day I Had a Bulldozer" by Ashley Wall, a regular boy named Luke discovers a bulldozer in his backyard during breakfast. To his surprise, he realizes his friends also have new heavy machinery—a dump truck, a steamroller, and an excavator. The story unfolds with childlike delight and fun, featuring professional illustrations and vibrant onomatopoeias. The book has a child-friendly appeal with captivating illustrations. It's recommended for young children fascinated by construction equipment, offering a delightful exploration of Luke and his friends' adventures.

So I guess this book focus on the fun aspect of children having heavy machinery instead of explaining where they came from. For a children's book, fun is all there is to it. I bet children definitely will enjoy this book. Thanks for the review.

Don't most children dream of driving a piece of construction equipment? I agree this is a fun book for children. I'm not sure why you felt that it specifically needed some conflict. This book taught children about teamwork and responsibility (Mikey learning to master the steamroller). Like you, I would have liked an explanation of why they all suddenly had this equipment, but I'm putting it down to childhood daydreaming.

Imagine a child's excitement when he finds a heavy vehicle in his backyard which he can claim as his own. It will know no bounds. This book will appeal to all children who likes to play with construction vehicles. A nice review. Congrats on BOTD.

There seem to be some funny moments in this story when Luke and his friends find heavy machinery, and I expect some intriguing things to happen when Luke and his friends use the machinery.

Wow what a nice story. The story revolves around a young boy named Luke who is surprised to find a bulldozer outside his window with his name on it. He takes the bulldozer out for a spin with his dog Bobo and later meets his friends who have their own construction vehicles. Together, they work to build a road to a new ice cream shop. And the good part is the book is not that long to finish Reading.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting children's story about a boy that finds a bulldozer in his backyard and his friends found other construction equipment and decided to have a fun day with these finds. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

The Day I Had a Bulldozer

If you love children’s books then you would love this read. All of the children in the neighborhood had their own machine and they drove them around with so kuch fun. Although this is a child’s book, adults can also enjoy this read because it allows them to enjoy their inner child and laugh along. The illustrations are awesome as well.
