Shari Borkin drew and wrote The Movie Chair for kids. The narrative centres on a movie theatre chair who loves kids. But the kids mainly come on weekends, leaving the chair longing for them. The chair gets bored watching romantic films with grownups. When children are nearby, the chair radiates pleasure and comforts them, wipes their tears, and embraces them when terrifying images scare them. During indecent moments, the chair covers their eyes and ears. When the movie theatre is renovated, the chair is discarded. This little children's novel reveals the chair's destiny.
This tale was great to read. Skillfully created pictures complemented the content. The author appears to want to educate kids that generosity will always be rewarded, like the chair. The book teaches youngsters to be kind and do their jobs effectively. My opinion of this tale is positive. Though originally bewildered, the finale cleared up my misunderstanding.

Thank you for your wonderful review. I adore children's stories. I also thought it had great illustrations and life lessons. I also like stories that have such great imaginations and human-like characteristics for non-humans. I am going to add this to my list of books to read.

This story really touches my heart and it reminds me of my childhood behavior. Children never think negatively but only think on what gives them joy at all time

I enjoy the innocence of childrens book. The illustrations capture my heart. The innocence of a chair. What happened to the chair anyway?

Thank you for your riveting review on "The Movie Chair" by Shari Borkin. I love the way the chair interacts with the children in the story because it is heartwarming and teaches valuable lessons about kindness and compassion. The author's intention seems to be to teach children the concept that acts of kindness will always be rewarded, much like the chair's eventual reward. When the theater is being renovated, I even wondered what happens to the movie chair and this is the reason I put this lovely book on my reading list. Congratulations to the author for BOTD

The Movie Chair!, that's quite a title. I do hope the chair's fate is not destruction because of the love you said it gives to children plus how it covers their eyes and ears when they're about to view something inappropriate. Congratulations on BOTD!!

Thanks for your review. The short introduction to the book brought a smile to my face. A chair that wipes children's tears and scorns romance movies... It's delightful.
