This children's book is a quick and easy read, but it has a lot of helpful information for those who want to understand the internal dialog around this disorder.Reading_Jack wrote: ↑25 Feb 2022, 23:22 a book that focuses on the brain. this is definitely not for me, but I hope those that needs it, learns from it.

I loved that idea too. It helps the reader separate the disorder from the person.

This book was truly a great way to get a glimpse into the thoughts behind why someone may behave the way they do. I was also attracted to the wonderful colors on the cover and in this book.Janelydia Mwangi wrote: ↑28 Feb 2022, 21:55 Ophelia is a character other children will relate with. Children will learn to appreciate our individual differences as a moral lesson. They will also learn to discern the thoughts that provoke them not to do good. The book cover is also eye catching and creates more curiosity to read it with the different color tones creating a children's world of fantasy.

I have to commend the author for the clever title. It's interesting what captures the eye of potential readers. I had just finished the book and was looking at the cover when I finally noticed the wonderful symmetry of Ophelia's name and the disorder. I wondered why she had such a long name!C Janet wrote: ↑01 Mar 2022, 01:30 At first I only saw "Obsessive Compulsive Disorder" in the title, somehow, and was pleasantly surprised when I finally read it right and found out that it's a children's book. Having said that, I think the book's title was a perfect choice. Such an insightful read this sounds like, would love to read it. Thanks for your excellent review!

It also warmed my heart that a children's book would tackle this very important issue. Children's books are often overlooked, but they are a great source of information presented in a thoughtful and easy-to-understand way. I hope you have the chance to check out this gem.thuriya albayaa wrote: ↑01 Mar 2022, 02:50 The world needs more people like this author to speak up so that more are aware of otherwise unspoken struggles with mental illness. I enjoyed your review thoroughly and will consider reading this book. It being a children’s book warms my heart. Thank you for the excellent review!

I have learned so much from reading children's books. They are short, but they are rich in information. Understanding some of the thought processes behind this disorder was a powerful learning experience. I hope you decide to check out this read.
