What an amazing children's book. Teaching young children the names of construction vehicles and showing them what each of them can do, I think, is an amazing way to be fun and learn at the same time.
I thought it was great that males and females were used to operate the machinery because it shows that no matter who you are, you can grow up and drive one too.
There is only one thing I found that could be difficult for some children although please let me add it could be because this is my first book reading, but I found that some of the sentences were typed very small on a few pages ,maybe making it easy for children to miss some of an excellent book.
Great job writing the review. The review given I found to be very good and accurate.
Please forgive me everyone if I wrote this incorrectly, this is my first post ever, and I'm just learning.

I appreciate your detailed review of "The Day I Had a Bulldozer" by Ashley Wall. It's wonderful to hear that you loved the professional illustrations and enjoyed the creative use of onomatopoeias, making the book childlike and fun. Your observation about the minor conflicts, particularly Mikey's steamrolling mishaps and Luke's need to return home, adds depth to your critique. The suggestion regarding the lack of an explanation for the appearance of the machines is valid, and your wish for some closure or curiosity from Luke about their origin is understandable. Despite these points, your generous 5 out of 5 stars rating speaks volumes about the overall appeal of the book for young readers, and your acknowledgment of its professional editing is commendable. Your recommendation to children who have a fascination with construction equipment adds a personal touch to your review. Overall, your insights provide valuable feedback for potential readers while highlighting the book's strong points.

Nice review! The plot of this definitely does what children’s books do at their best: present a situation/opportunity that, in reality, is highly unlikely and fantastical, but is something that children absolutely would do if they somehow got the chance.
Overall, the story lacked conflict. Also, there was never any explanation given as to how these machines showed up. It would have been nice if that was either addressed or if Luke had wondered at the end where they came from, even if it was a secret from the reader.
The points made here are things that I figured would be in the book. One of the first thoughts I had upon seeing the plot was that there was a learning opportunity to be had in such “pie in the sky” ordeals being able to happen at the drop of a hat. It’s a bit disappointing to know that that’s not the case here (or, at least, not to the degree that it could be). Yet, you could also make the argument that you don’t necessarily need that setup with every children’s book. Sometimes it’s simply a matter of kids having fun by way of reading about other kids having fun. So, I agree with the reviewer on this being a minor negative compared to all the positives.

Lots of times small boys like Luke, Mikey, and the others want to have this large equipment since they have seen “big” people driving it. What fun for them. Congratulations on BOTD!

A good review with points I agree on. The onomatopoeia being emphasized so artistically instantly brought to mind comics such as DC and Marvel, this was excellent and also provided good engagement and fun while reading at a younger age.

The book was educational in the sense of identifying construction vehicles and the importance of good friendships. However, yes it was more about the play and experience of these exciting trucks and the fun of having such an experience with them as a child. I did also feel that perhaps there should have been a hint to the reader that this experience was born out of imagination in a subtle way ( or came to life by some of the magic in the realness of the day ), however, the story was still great overall.

Wow! Children will surely love this book. Most of the toys they play with are usually heavy machine designs. It will be fun for them and relate to the games they play with toys. "The Day I Had a Bulldozer" brings back my childhood memories. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

Congrats on BOTD!
Kids will absolutely adore this book. The majority of the toys they use for play are typically large, complex machines. They will find it entertaining and relatable to the games they play with toys. I remember "The Day I Had a Bulldozer" from my early years. By ensuring that the adult can actively interact with the child, this strategy helps the child's thoughts flow and makes reading more fun and engaging.

This is a book about children owning their own construction equipment; the illustrations look very professional and nice and therefore engage. If you know a child into heavy machinery, this book is for them.
