I appreciate that bookowlie. I actually am doing just that. Next one, coloring/activity book with simple affirmations, in a Seashell Meditation format of course.

Thanks Peachez1961 and welcome to the forums. :) I think your grandson would love this book. The story would be a nice way for him to relax and use his imagination, plus he can color all the pages!

I am always curious about different coloring books. I tend to be more of a fan of pictures filling the entire page, not necessarily stories. But I like the concept! Seems like the best of both worlds. My 9-year-old niece also loves to color, but I'm not sure about the small details, so I am glad you pointed that out! Well-written review, and very helpful!

Melinda Louise, I would love to send you some images of the pages in the book. They are all really simple and even the words on the pages are color-able. My 5 year old granddaughter fills in the illustrations like a pro. Let me know if you would like some pages. You actually can print them out if you like.

Thanks and welcome to the forums. I would like to clarify that only a few of the coloring pages contain small details and the comment in my review was in reference to very young children. I believe a 9-year-old would find the pages easy to color.

I agree that this book would be great for teachers to use in the classroom. The meditation story would help the kids to relax and use their imagination.

I seriously want to get this book just for myself. The meditation stuff us pretty awesome in general, and I live how it uses a shell. It's something tangible but still brings in that connection to nature that's so important. Anyway, enough of my nonsense rambling.
