This is an interesting fairytale. I love the person of Nadira with the heart of a lion and her ability to take on male challenges head-on.
The only part of the story I may not really like is that of kingdom squabbles. Great review.

This book looks nice, but I've read a lot of fairytales lately, mostly retellings, and I've had my share for a long while. I will give it a chance though.

Strong, independent role models are important for all children. I like the idea of a choice between love and duty complicating their story. Sounds like a great book.

I love books with strong female protagonists. That Jai encourages Nadira to follow her own dreams and enter the competition just shows how compatible they are. I have to wonder how Princess Theodora is going to react to that! This isn't your typical damsel in distress story. Thanks for the review!

Was never a fan of fairy tales and price charming. I'd have skipped ithis book as a child. Not to my taste.

The book seems to be quite compelling and delighting. I think with another round of polishing and editing the few inconveniences, it's a terrific read.

Will this fairy tale have a happily-ever-after? I am curious to find out. That will be easy as the book is happily free.

Nadira and Prince Jai will definitely be a lovely couple but I am afraid that fate may have a different destiny for them despite their feel and pull towards each other. Thanks for the review.

This sounds like a young adult fantasy story to me, with some interesting world creation and characters, as well. I believe that the elements of fantasy can be combined to reflect real issues in our present world, both issues that are faced by individuals as well as more general societal and political issues. Fantasy provides an excellent medium, particularly visual, and the bricks to weave a story that can be relevant for individuals in today's world, whilst providing some excellent entertainment as well. Your review gave a good overview of this book, and was enjoyable to read.

A fairy tale with a positive message for young girls sounds perfect. However, the errors would need to be fixed so as not to set a bad example for any budding writers.

I LOVE it when there's a strong female protagonist!!! Your examples of the ways Nadira shows strength and independence are fantastic. You said any kids, but realistically speaking, what would you consider to be the upper age level for most kids? Thanks for an interesting review! I enjoyed reading it.
