I think that the author did an excellent job of illustrating the stages of grief to young readers, and adults can benefit from the story’s gentle wisdom as well.
- There are even adults who don't know how to cope with the stages of grief. So I like how adults too can benefit from this children's book. There aren't many of those. Thank you for a well detailed review.

"Happiness is not the absence of sorrow but the triumph over it. 'Sock Lobsters' reminds us that joy can emerge from the cocoon of grief." Thanks for sharing this nice review. Congrats on #BOTD!

A lovely read for kids to understand how to handle grief, and a slew of other emotions that take over... in-fact for all age groups. I read the book and concur with the reviewer's assessment. I loved how Michelle squeezed her Bubbles into this lovely story. Congrats to Michelle on BOTD!

Nice review! What a unique concept for a children’s book!
I found nothing to dislike about this book. Although it is written for children, adults can find comfort and humor in it as well. We have all struggled with losses. I related to Sebastian’s feeling of self-reproach when he was asking himself how he could have failed to notice that Lola was gone, being so caught up in seeing the sights on the way home from the laundromat. I had a little rescue cat who was very dear to me, and because I was working so many hours, I failed to notice how sick he really was and ended up having to have him put to sleep. The question “how could I have failed to notice how sick he was” will be in my mind for the rest of my life.
I figured the appeal to adults (alongside children) may be present after noting the serious themes as well as the lobster socks belonging to an ADULT grandchild. Like the reviewer, I also strongly relate to those feelings of guilt, regret, and shame and have been in too many situations to count that have drawn them out. To say the least, it is never a pleasant experience and I’m glad this book provides a way for kids to begin learning/implementing healthy ways to cope with such challenges.
I recommend this book to everyone except for people who really hate children’s books.
I appreciate this level of honesty! LOL! Luckily, I happen to adore children’s books.

This book introduces emotions of fear, loss, and love to a child in a way that is easily understood. I was amazed that any reader could be drawn into those emotions so quickly in such a short story.

While designed as a children's book, I'm confident that adults will also resonate with the storyline, given its universal theme.

The narrative is delightful, and I'm eager to explore whether Sebastian and Lola eventually reunite and if so, how their reunion unfolds.

Books for children with beautiful messages are always my comfort place. I've read so many books written for children and learned a lot from them. Also, the idea of lobster socks that can talk sounds too cute to ignore, haha.
This review is great!
