It is good to read that the author included the motivation for writing the book at the end. The fact that Pud is actually ambitious and seems driven to attain his goals is amazing and inspiring. This is definitely a must-read. Many thanks for this informative, captivating review.

Pud: The Wannabe Cat is a charming and humorous story about a cat who wants to be different things, such as a kangaroo, a crocodile, or a bird. Along the way, he learns valuable lessons about friendship, identity, and belonging. The book is written in a simple and engaging style, with colorful illustrations by Keith Blake that capture the personality and expressions of Pud and his friends. The book is suitable for children aged 3 to 6, who will enjoy following Pud's adventures and discovering his true self. Pud: The Wannabe Cat is a fun and heartwarming read that celebrates the joy of being yourself.

As far as I know, cats love to laze around, but Pud is different. Undoubtedly, Pud has got to be the most ambitious cat.

Not a cat person, but I want to know where this wannabe cat lands up.

This is a fun meaningful read for prime school children. I think all kids who have pets can understand and relate to this story, it is very scary when your pet runs away. It is always such a happy moment when they are back at home. Lovely read.

Your observation about the author's skill in describing sounds, creating a learning opportunity for kids about animal noises, is a thoughtful point. It's these nuanced details that enrich a children's book and contribute to a more immersive reading experience.

I like that this book teaches children self-development through the beautiful story of Pud the cat. The cat wants to be smarter and braver. Thanks for the review.

The mention of colorful and distinctive illustrations enhancing the storytelling resonated with me. As a potential reader, I value engaging visuals, especially in children's books. It seems like a delightful experience for both kids and adults alike.

This is a great children's story. It encourages children to know their self-worth and dream big. I am most impressed by this statement: "he wants to be more than just a house cat." Development should be a continuous process; we shouldn't be quick to settle down because we think we have reached out targets in life. On the other hand, I hope the author fixes the issues this reviewer complained about in this review.

Your detailed appreciation of the first-person narrative style gave me a clear sense of the unique perspective the author brings to Pud's story. It's intriguing to see the world through a cat's eyes, and that alone piques my interest in reading the book.

:techie-studyingbrown: The book is really bringing perspective features as shown on the review by Emily Jen where we find the cat doesn't know where he is and lack the means to go back home.

An interesting book for children. A story that inspires to overcome one's condition. Pud wants to be more than just a house cat. The book presents the routine of a cat, but also the twists and turns that can occur in a seemingly normal day. I warmly recommend the book.

I love the cover of the book. The cover of the book will be an eye catcher for most children expecially cat lover as most children love cats. I love the introduction of the story and that we are soon taken to pud been lost and he has to find his way back home. There are questions of what he will become. I just hope the story line will be different from what we have already read before, but it must be something that children can learn from and benefit. overal it seems to be great book that I can recommend

I also have a black cat with that big, yellow-eyed look that Pud has in his book. If my cat disappeared for two days I'd be frantic, so when the family rushes to open the door when they hear Pud's meow, I could relate. Taken simply, this is a sweet children's book.
