The scrapbook style of this book sounds like it might make it more relatable for children, especially if they have a dog or want one. I can't say I particularly care for the cover. It looks like someone made a PPT slide and that was all the artistic ability they had. I hope the rest of the pictures are better laid out.

I like the concept of the book but your review and the Amazon reviews indicate there are quite a few errors. For such a short book, it really should be easy to correct any errors.

I am wondering if the title is ever given an explanation. From the summary and review, it doesn't seem obvious as to why Bear is called "spiritual".

Thanks for your review! Great reading for children, it could work as an educational book, because shows different aspects of having a pet. As a pet lover, I think this is a wonderful book for all family, it is great for everybody to know how to take care of a pet and the importance of adoption.

I would love to read this book even though I'm not a kid. The reason would be that I also have a dog in our home. The review explained the content of this book well too.

When my youngest child was 1 we adopted 2 dogs from the shelter! One that always looks like she is smiling and the other who still is afraid of his own shadow! They are now 6 years old and have 6 more dogs to play with! This will be such a cute story to read with my little one! Thanks for the great review!

Good review.This story is heartwarming, the relationship is formed between bear and the porters I totally love.Dogs are amazing pets, when they become an addition to a family, I know the story will hold fun , light moments .It will be a great read for any reader,adults and children alike .

It's great that this book educates kids about rescue dogs; it's so important for the younger generation to know about the possibility of adopting animals from shelters. Bearly growls about the grammatical errors though - that's just confusing for kids.
