Sigfried’s Smelly Socks

Because this book uses humor, I especially look forward to reading it and laughing or smiling. I have grandchildren who (after I read the book myself) I would enjoy reading the book to.

I loved Sigfried's Smelly Socks! What a great children's book! Kids love gross things and this book is full of them. It's so descriptive and has wonderful pictures to enhance the story. This is a great book to read to a child and then have them read it back to you.

I love picture books. Sigfried's smelly socks written and illustrated by Lee Foley will be good for kids. Nice artwork and illustration from the reviewer information. Seems creative and funny. Perfect for kids (most kids). The rhymes will makes it interesting which is perfect for kids academically. Thanks for the review.

I agree that the artwork in this book is pretty fantastic (from the sample I read). And yes, I could tell that it would be a book filled with gross things, but generally, young kids - the target audience - find gross things awesome and hilarious. So I believe this would be a good book to read to my young nephews/nieces. And I am always looking for kids books that include rhyming and even unfamiliar vocabulary, as it gives a chance for discussion and learning. Thanks for this review! I'm likely to buy it now.

I wasn't quite sure what my thoughts on the book were, was in a bit of a bind until I opted to try out a little experiment with it. The outcome helped me decide. You can read about it here in my review and let me know what you think!

Fantastic review. I got a mental picture of the "gross" items as you described. I teach in a Autism classroom and I think the boys in my class would find this book hilarious, (they KNOW how grossed out I get about certain things). This statement from your review " I recommend this book to parents and children who find gross things funny, and I recommend this book be avoided by those that are easily put off by rotten food, bodily functions and reading about other gross smells!" was a great way to inform the readers whether to pursue this book or not.

What is with you authors? Can't you anymore came up with decent title? I gross out by this book's name, so don't expect me to recommend it to anyone.

Sounds like a good read for kids who are at that age where the grosser things are the funnier. Elementary students are absolutely known for this. I liked the vibrant description. Would likely read this book to my own children.

I don't really understand why people think making gross jokes is funny. Not really my cup of tea, but the cover looks pretty funny. Thanks for the review!
