I love reading children books and reviewing them. Emma's dream about Heaven must have been exciting and beautiful for her to want to dream about it again! It exploits the childlike imagination within kids to offer a vivid mental picture. More kids than we'd like to think experience grief and loss and, I guess for Christian kids, this adventure in heaven might be very comforting. I enjoy audiobooks but I have never listened to a children's book.

What it's about: And this book refers to the real life of Emma, an eight-year-old girl who seeks for heaven with the help of her sister. The story takes her through a dream like world in heaven with lots of happiness and joy.

What's to like:

Simple and Easy to Understand: The concepts applied in the book are quite simple and more so it is easy for young children to understand.
Comforting Take on Death: To the curiosity of children and the fear of the unfamiliar, death is explained in a positive light with possibilities of the afterlife in heaven.
Positive Message: The themes depicted in the story are love, kindness, and pursuing one’s passion.
Engaging Illustrations: Pictures are bright and selected according to their ability to relate to a young child; the numbers also correspond to Emma’s age.
What to consider:

Specific Religious Viewpoint: The book carries a Christian perspective of the heaven which might not go well with all families.
Limited Scope of Death: Surprisingly, the book is not about suffering or grieving, and the concept of heaven is discussed much more.
Overall:

As for moving to another type of literature, Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids is one capacious children story, which can help young people who are afraid of death or curious in its process. Their concerns include the knowledge of the religious stance employed in the teaching if it goes against their home beliefs. However, due to the strong positive message conveyed in the story and nice illustrations, this book can be recommended to parents, who are searching for a non-scare approach to the topic of heaven.
