Delightful review! I agree to the fact that the book is not only for kids, its humour makes it pleasant for parents as well.

What a charming story! This book can be an important resources for parents/guardians and guide for children. We all need help understanding grief and loss and learning how to deal with it. Adults sometimes still struggle with these themes, so working through this with our kids is a very important step in their emotional development. Well done on a great review and #BOTD.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting children's book about a pair of socks in the shape of lobsters that are able to communicate with their owner. One day, one of the socks goes missing, much to the distress of the owner and the other sock. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Magical socks that can talk will be fascinating for children. As we find that most of us have friends who look at the dark side of life, and others who look on the bright side, it's also appropriate that the socks have these views. It will be very helpful for children to learn about the stages of grief, as most will be exposed to it at some point in their lives. Thank you for the insightful review.

This was a great review! I really do hope they find Lola. I don't read children's books, so I'll skip this one.

This sounds like an interesting and fun way to address the topic of grief with children. Hopefully, after this book, kids will also try to keep every pair of socks together, if that's even possible!

Thank you for your great review. I do enjoy children's books very much. It sounds like this would be a great book for any kind of loss, whether through death or not. I think survivor's guilt, is one of the hardest. I can relate to you talking about your cat. I do not handle death well at all. Even if the loss is through a move, it can be traumatic. I am adding this to my list of books to read.

Sebastian and Lola remind me of the mythical angel and demon on our shoulders. It's awe-inspiring to find a children's book about the stages of grief and how kids can handle their emotions.

This is a really special and amazing children's book that emphasises feelings, emotional growth, loss and sadness, and the use of SockPuppets as a communication tool.

I think that the author did an excellent job of illustrating the stages of grief to young readers, and adults can benefit from the story’s gentle wisdom as well. I believe that the story was professionally edited as I found no errors in the text. The pictures are bright and compelling, and the text was easy to read against the background

I love the concept of the book. The author did a wonderful job of presenting the topics of grief and self-blame to children. The way she used the simple and enticing story of Lola and Sebastian to explain these emotions to children is ingenious. I admire her bravery in choosing such heavy emotions for a children's book. Congratulations on BOTD!
