Love is woven in throughout the story - various kinds of love: love of family, love of beauty, love of magic, love of our vast and diverse planet. I hope this book helps create a generation of loving, kind and generous people to sustain our beautiful fragile world.

Children's book The Hummingbird & the Narwhal by Annie Higbee is a perfect example of this. The story of the book demonstrates to us that friendship has no bounds to time or location, and that genuine friends can be found in the most unexpected places. I adore the premise of this book as well as the author's use of a beautiful story to illustrate the bond between a hummingbird and a narwhal. I sincerely appreciate your kind and complimentary review. Congratulations on BOTD.

Congratulations on being BOTD! The book teaches about friendship and kindness and how it can be found in an unexpected place, two animals who looked similar but are from different world that ended up building friendship, love and kindness. It is a good read for children and can bring their ideas flow toward nature else today's generation are always influenced with star wars and other robotic stuff.

That review was excellent! I enjoyed the unique plot featuring the hummingbird and narwhal—it's truly an uncommon combination. The values conveyed in the book are noteworthy, and as a fan of children's literature, especially illustrated works, I'm eagerly anticipating diving into this book.

"The Hummingbird & The Narwhal" by Annie Higbee is a book that parents should read with their children or discuss with them to instill concepts of friendships in spite of differences, kindness, and helping one another in times of need.

Thanks for another thoughtful review. I like that the main characters are two animals that are not the typical animals featured in children's books. I also like the fact that there is an overall theme of kindness, since this is something important to teach children. The crayon-style pictures would be very appealing to kids, too!

Thank you, this review also was "lyrical" and informative.
I agree, I have not come across a book like this involving a hummingbird and a Narwhal.
This unique paring works so well in depicting an authentic story with the very critical theme of being able to put aside differences and understand each other as existential beings. This reflects to young readers that although we can look and appear different we can still coexist and function in harmony. I love this. Congratulations to the author!

I agree that it is most unusual to find a narwhal and a hummingbird in a story! Also, to discover that they have a lot in common is quite surprising. I suspect this book has some deep lessons to teach, apart from what seems to be an engaging story with beautiful illustrations. I'm looking forward to reading this book! Thank you for the enthusiastic review, it inspired me to read the book.

From the review it seems "The Hummingbird & the Narwhal" by Annie Higbee is a wonderful story to probe into. The story line seems engaging and interesting. I wish to read this book along with my son. When the birds and animals set up for an adventure for children it becomes a great subject of interest.

Amazing review. I loved how author protrayed the theme of friendship through lens of hummingbird and narwhal. It's perfect children book to make them learn true meaning of friendship. The add on of illustration make this book enjoyable.

This touching tale of an improbable bond between two radically different animals is so well described. A small little hummingbird and a lovely and kind narwhal! Finding your genuine calling is the main theme of the narrative. The tale complements the artwork so beautifully. Looking forward to reading about their next journey! adored it

Another great book I will add to the collection on Kindle's I am about to give away this coming holidays! I always believed it imperative to teach children the best principals and what could be better than a lesson in tolerance and acceptance based on personality and not race than an unlikely friendship between a hummingbird and a narwhal. Thanks for the recommendation and congrats on BOTD!
