The books sound interesting and probably appealing to its intended audience, but unfortunately it doesn't suit me in both age and subject of wild nature. What I do like it is how educational and well done the book is, illustrations are in perfect style and I will certainly like to gift it to friends' kids this upcoming Christmas. Thanks a lot for introduction and congrats on BOTD!

What a great way to educate children about caribou. If a child is interested in nature, it seems this book would be a perfect fit for them, especially due to the wonderful illustrations. Thanks for the review!

This book is both an informative and educational book for children. But since many adults don’t know a lot about Caribou, one can learn about them through this book in a fun way. It is interesting to know that they travel so far. The illustrations are pretty. The cover page grabs my attention too. Nice review.

I loved these pictures and how Smith wrote this story. It's not only a perfect book for kids, but it can be interesting for parents who read this to their children. You also can learn a lot about this magnificent animal.

I think it's important for all kids to learn about this magnificent creature, and this book is a great way to do so. The illustrations are also outstanding, so the kids will have a good time admiring them.
- Sounds like the ideal way to teach children about an unknown animal like the Caribou. Thank you for taking the time to write this review.

Nice review!
My first impression of this book was that the Caribou on the cover was an actual animal, but as I read it, I realized that the illustrations were very well done and fooled me.
Well, color me surprised because I hadn’t noticed this either! In fact, I only realized it while reading this part of the review LOL! Add on the fact that the illustrations are mentioned at least 3 times throughout the review. This all speaks to some serious skill on the illustrator’s behalf. While it's true that things don’t always have to be/look hyperrealistic in media (especially as far as children are concerned), it can be a neat way for connections and comprehensions to be made of the material. I can tell that, along with the story setup of the caribou’s journey, these are this book’s greatest strengths.

Great concept for children! Surprisingly, I didn't realize caribou were real until a friend moved. I used to think it was another name for elk. Rudi adds an engaging touch for kids. Congrats!

The illustration on the cover is beautiful, I would surely appreciate a book with more illustrations in this style. Even if it is a children's book, I think I will appreciate it as well since I don't know anything about caribous and have a lot to learn.

I love that the book has beautiful illustrations and it is also enlightening that the caribou migrate more than a thousand mile a year and I would definitely read my copy of this book to know the challenges the young caribou faces.
