I loved illustrated books as a child and continue to do so, to a certain extent. Reading a children’s book has its own share of happiness and the illustrations add on to the reading experience. I will surely consider reading this book. Thanks for the review.
Reading a children's book does have a way of imparting happiness. The illustrations in this book will captivate young readers, but I think the adult reading this (whether with a child or not) will have a special appreciation for the quality of the artwork.

I have studied about the history of west Africa and liked people like Mansa Musa and Askia Muhammad who generously and peacefully ruled this area. The animals in this book being from this area makes it an interesting and an irresistible read. I want to know if the solution worked and would like to read it.

As often the case with other stories surrounding the tortoise, I find myself curious to know about how the matter was resolved. Thanks for a great review.

Off the top of my head, I don’t remember many childhood stories about the tortoise except the one about the tortoise and the hare. I hope your curiosity leads you to read this book. I was impressed with a couple of other animals in the village as well. :turtle: :lion: :elephant:
